Roller Skate Brakes

Roller skating is fun, but I always have trouble stopping.  I usually end up going around in circles to slow down or grab onto something.  Roller skates have brakes on the back, but it makes me uncomfortable to lean my skate back that far.

The solution?  Remote-controlled brakes.  Using the same principles of a bike brake where pads clamp to the wheels, a motor could be activated to put pressure on the wheels.  The control device could act like a bicycle hand brake: the more you press it, the harder the you brake.  While we're at it, we may as well add some buttons for colored flashing lights on the skates.
