How to Eat Cookie Dough Ice Cream

For the purpose of this how-to article, we are assuming that the ice cream is served in a dish or bowl, not a cone.  How often do you find yourself eating cookie dough ice cream in a cone anyways?  Most places that serve cones only have chocolate and vanilla and maybe some rotating flavor of the day/week.  If you go to a specialized ice cream shop that has cookie dough ice cream in a cone, why not add Oreo cookies or something else as well?  Additionally, we are assuming that you aren't eating the ice cream around anyone who's opinion you care about.

1. Scoop ice cream with spoon / eating device.  (Side note: ice cream always tastes better when eaten with those little wooden spoon stick things.  Maybe it's because they force you to eat it in smaller quantities, but I honestly think the wood has something to do with it.  I think it's the temperature (stays relatively warm) and the texture (not super smooth like ice cream).)

2. Consume ice cream normally, without eating the cookie dough chunks.  (In the same way you would eat watermelon or grapes that have seeds, acting as if the cookie dough pieces are the seeds.)

3. Spit out the cookie dough chunks into the bowl/dish.  (Some people see this as odd.  Obviously they don't understand what comes next.)

4. Continue to eat the ice cream, saving all the cookie dough in a pile.

5. Gather the cookie dough chunks onto your spoon and eat them all at once.

Think of it like fireworks.  Fireworks fired sporadically throughout the day are fine, but are no comparison to the grand finale of all the fireworks at once.
