Improved Shampoo Bottle

Have you ever been taking a shower and you can't remember if you shampooed your hair?  This happens to me all the time, especially since my morning routine is the same, which makes the memory of the last 15 minutes of showering blend with the hours of memories of showering.

I introduce to you... a shampoo bottle that remembers for you!

The basic concept is that when you turn the bottle up-side-down to pour out some shampoo, some of the liquid will go into the little indent on the side.  When the bottle is positioned right-side-up again, the shampoo in this indent will slowly fall back down.  Because of the viscosity of the shampoo and its surface tension between the shampoo and the thin tube, this will take a long time (about an hour).  This way, when you are taking a shower you can easily check and see if there is any shampoo in the thin tube, indicating if you have already shampooed your hair.

[As I was drawing the diagram above, an incredible, wonderful, ingenious friend (who may or may not be reading over my shoulder) commented that it looks like it was made to squeeze shampoo out from the bottle without needing to turn it over.  This, of course, is a much better idea than what was presented above.  Oh well, too late.]

  1. what if you drop the shampoo while you are showering and the shampoo goes to the indent but you haven't actually shampooed your hair yet this could have disastrous side negative ramifications
