Unknown Movie Review

Unknown is an action/thriller film where five men find themselves locked in an old warehouse, unable to remember who they are or why they are there.  Their memories come back to them slowly, flashing scenes in their minds, leaving them to piece together the story on their own.  Looking at the evidence around them, it is apparent that some of them are hostages and others are criminals - but they don't know who is who.

I won't spoil the ending, but I thought the movie was great until the last few minutes.  The story is completed and everything seems to have worked out until the very end where a major twist is added.  The twist adds nothing to the overall impact of the movie.  It seems like the creators wanted their audience to leave with a "Oh, wow, my mind was just blown" feeling at the end to make the whole movie more like a psychological thriller.  It would be akin to telling the story of Cinderella, but at the end suggesting that she was actually an alien the whole time.  What?  You have a good story that is told well, just end it there.
